## Position Overview: Economic Function Local Staff

Key Candidate Qualifications

* Age Requirement: Must be between 25 and 40 years old.
* Legal Residency: Must hold valid official identification, along with a legal residence and work permit in Japan (student visas and internship visas are strictly ineligible).
* Educational Background: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (S1), preferably in Economics, Development Economics, Business/Management, International Trade, International Law, or Statistics. Candidates with proven teamwork experience will be given priority.
* Language Proficiency:
For Indonesian Citizens (WNI):* Minimum Japanese language proficiency of Level N2, validated by an official certificate.
For Japanese Citizens (WN Jepang):* Proficiency in both Indonesian and English, verified through official certificates or an interview assessment conducted by the KBRI Tokyo HR Team.
* Character and Background: Must demonstrate good conduct, have zero history of criminal offenses in Indonesia or abroad, and submit a signed declaration letter.
* Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for presentation creation) and familiarity with design applications like Canva.
* Driving Credentials: Must possess a valid Japanese Driver’s License for automobiles.
* Health Status: Physically and mentally fit, substantiated by an official health certificate (required specifically for candidates advancing to the interview stage).
* Professional Advantage: Prior working experience within government institutions, foreign diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce, economic research institutes, Japanese corporations, or organizations dealing with Indonesia-Japan business relations will serve as a strong advantage.
* Conflict of Interest Policy: Must not have any conflicts of interest with current Home Staff or Local Staff members at KBRI Tokyo—including marital, family, or close relative connections—and must agree to disclose and manage potential conflicts in compliance with applicable laws.
