Core Responsibilities for Junior Operators
The Junior Operator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our gas turbine combined cycle power station. Working under the guidance of Shift Leaders and Unit Controllers, the successful candidate will perform the following duties:
* Monitor and operate station systems and equipment within strict safety and operational guidelines.
* Apply fundamental knowledge of combined cycle power operations and water chemistry.
* Interpret technical documentation, including non-complex electrical and mechanical drawings, to support plant operations.
* Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless performance during rotating shifts.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, applicants must demonstrate a blend of technical expertise and analytical rigor. We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
1. Educational Background: A Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Professional Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial or power generation setting.
3. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and understand logic diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
4. Communication: Strong verbal and written English proficiency is mandatory for operational coordination.
5. Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, robust analytical skills, and the capacity for logical, structured thinking.
6. Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work according to a rotating shift schedule.
